Recently I revealed the exact formula for creating an essential oil blend formula named Inauguration Of Hope which can enable those who use it correctly to project supportive soul-light on the day of Barack Obama’s inauguration (January 20th, 2009).
I hope that my many of you will take the time to prepare this powerful blend and share it with like-minded individuals on Inauguration Day. Some of you have received the prepared blend either from me or one of my students.
From the reports I have been receiving I expect hundreds of people to be using this blend next Tuesday as many people will be sharing the blend within groups. The blend will be carried (by at least 3 different people) into, and shared at, the Inauguration Ball . Other people will be sharing the blend with members of the incoming administration.
After initiating the Inauguration Of Hope blend development project with my core group of students, it occurred to me that, in order to more succinctly project a collective soul force via the use of the blend on Inauguration Day, we needed to develop a mantra that would not only organize that projection but also amplify its power.
Accordingly, I initiated a second exercise completely interrelated with the blend project. and called it: The Inauguration Blend Mantra Project. In this article, I will present the results of the corresponding mantra project.
This Inauguration Of Hope blend project is not intended as a profit-making venture. The goal is for my students and readers to be able to prepare the blend and share it with as many others as is feasible on Inauguration Day.
In this way, we, as Spiritual PhytoEssencing blenders, could in a small way enhance the level of soul-attunement to the Inauguration in order to enhance the potential for what is referred to in Hebrew as tikkun olam: the repair of the world.
The Hebrew word “Kabbalah” means “to receive,” referring to access to the mystical knowledge that originates in the higher worlds. Thus, the related kabbalistic concept of the Desire to Receive. There would be no spiritual illumination if it were not for this desire.
The Desire to Receive can be subdivided into two categories: Desire to Receive for Oneself Alone and the Desire to Receive for the Purpose of Sharing. In the case of the former, when one is greedy to receive, he or she draws a great deal of light, but the blocking action of selfishness and lack of humility allow no light to enter that person, and so, he or she dwells in darkness.
On the other hand, if one has a Desire to Receive for the Purpose of Sharing, one receives not only via a direct infusion of the infinite light but also indirectly via attraction of the light deflected by self-centered souls. Hence, even though the selfish and arrogant individual may have a stronger Desire to Receive, it is the humble, unselfish individual who receives far greater illumination.
One of the primary goals for the sharing of the Inauguration Of Hope blend is to enhance the Desire to Receive for the Purpose of Sharing, contextualized within the promise of substantive positive change, represented by Barack Obama, that can at this crossroad in time, improve the quality of many crucial aspects of life on earth.
Here were the guidelines that I presented in December to my students regarding the mantra-development project:
1) Given that the oil blend contains exactly 11 oils, I propose that we limit the mantra to 11 words. There is no precise logical reason for this except that it feels right and numerologically speaking may help potentiate the blend/mantra synergy.
2) We need a place to start. Time is of the essence and we can’t afford to wander in a lot of different directions. Therefore I have come up with the first word: “Before……………………………………………………………”
Why “before”? It just came to me as an inspiration almost as if from the spirit world. I realize its an unusual starting word but I sense that it will work.
3) Anybody can contribute, so you can ask friends, family, etc for input.
4) Be creative, but remember we have only 11 words to express something meaningful about Barack, ourselves, the world, needs, hopes, etc. Think of specific themes like peace, healing, leadership, positive change, safety for Barack, etc.
Mantra Project Results
Initially, my goal was to select what I felt was the best of the mantras I received and designate that as the “offical mantra” for the blend. However, upon further reflection, I decided that approach was too limiting, given the diversity of the people who would be using the blend. Thus, I am presenting the best group of mantras that I received as a menu so you can choose the one you most strongly resonate with.
Many people sent me ideas, concepts and mantra fragments. However, because of unanticipated time-constraints I can only present the complete mantras I received (plus the one I created). Initially, I thought I would have the time to piece together some of the valuable ideas and fragments that were e-mailed to me, but alas I didn’t. Nonetheless I am grateful to all of you who took the time to make your contribution to this project.
Here are the mantras and the names of those who submitted them.
From Valerie Cooksley:
Before us
A time
To heal,
Uniting our world
In peace.
From Marie-Rose Phan-Le:
Before the forgetfulness we knew one song
let us recall…Uni-Verse
From Madeleen Herreshoff:
Before long may all beings experience healing, peace, and prosperity.
From Beverley Hawkins:
Before winds of change, sails filled, captain’s eye’s upon the horizon.
Love and light lead our ways
Using the mantras with the blend simply requires that you occassionally concentrate on the mantra while using the blend. For example, one can begin Tuesday morning with a period of meditation during which the blend is applied to the wrists and the mantra is focused upon. On the other hand, one can simply think of the mantra now and again throughout the day while diffusing the blend into the air.
I encourage you to be creative. Whatever feels right to you is likely the best way to proceed.

Blend Formula and Instructions for Use
Next week I will discuss the upcoming cooperative blend project (the last one for 2009). I think this one will be of equal interest to the Inauguration blend project.
Even if you do not have the Inauguration Of Hope blend, you may wish to work with one of the mantras. 2009 is shaping up to be a bumpy ride. Projecting soul light to support Obama’s effort to stop the bleeding and begin the healing is one way the creative soul can make a positive contribution.
