Dr. Bruce Berkowsky will be presenting a 3-class Essential Oils And Soul teleseminar series with the first 2-hour teleseminar class scheduled for Wednesday, February 17th. The focus will be on spearmint oil.

What is a telesminar?
A teleseminar is a class taught by phone. Here’s how it works:
Dr. Berkowsky rents what is referred to as a telephone bridge line: a special line that can accomodate many of callers at once. All the students call the bridge line number (the bridge line number and entry code will be provided to all registrees 2 to 3 days before each class) at the scheduled time and then using the entry code gain access to the “lecture room.”
After that you just sit back and listen to the lecture and take notes just like you would in a regular classroom setting. The major difference of course is that you don’t have to leave your home. In other words, you can attend these classes while sitting in a recliner in your pajamas.
What will I learn?
Each of the three 2-hour classes will focus on one of the three essential oils listed above. In order to do soul-level healing work with essential oils, one has to become familiar with the inner- or soul-nature of each of the essential oils that is worked with.
Plants are alive and all living things are ensouled. Just like each of our souls is unique and has certain individualized specificities and tangible qualities, so do plant souls. The specific mix of archetypal qualities which are encoded into each soul gives rise to the various characteristics and behavioral modes we manifest in our lives.
Similarly, a plant’s biochemistry, form, growth characterisitics, therapeutic properties and folkloric associations are reflections or images of its soul’s constituent pattern of archetypal qualities. I demonstrate how I use these archetypal images to identify the unique nature of an essential oil’s natural expression of being or its “true self.”
If essential oils are blended together with an understanding of the true self of each oil, the oils in the blend will merge and form a unique soul entity which is more powerfully charged with soul force than the sum of its parts. When diverse soul energies are synchronized in this way, the integrated soul force demonstrates what is referred to as emergent behavior. In turn, this can be used to catalyze emergent behavior in the human soul that is directed toward harmonization and the elaboration of that person’s true self.
We generally forsake our true selves in early childhood when we are taught that they are not enough. We then exchange our natural expression of being for a customized survival personality that hopefully proves to be functional and meets the approval of our parents, teachers, etc. In the process, we become estranged from the true self or living soul and this estrangement fuels the sense of incompleteness, aloneness and disharmony we struggle with our entire lives.
The key to achieving soul-level reintegration via work with essential oils is the ability to get beyond a focus on their biochemistry and therapeutic actions and access and acknowledge the unique soul-nature of each oil that is the spiritual root of the oil’s physical properties. When this is done, the plant souls harbored within the oils will respond reciprocally and the human soul/plant soul encounter will be illuminated by spirit.
The greater the number of essential oils one understands on this level, the more dynamic the potential for creating blends which will touch the soul on deeper and deeper levels and provide the illumination to lead it from inertial stuckness and fragmentation to wholeness and soul-to-soul relation with all elements of the natural world. In this way one can re-establish the natural capacity, lost in early childhood, to connect earthly fire with heavenly light.
Bonus Feature: The Paternal Essence Blending Project
I have also designed a collaborative blending project for this teleseminar series that is certain to be a source of inspiration and very deep inner connection. It will not only improve your blending skills but take you into the heart of soul- level healing work with essential oils.
The Paternal Essence blending project focuses on developing a soul-level essential oil blend not only for Father’s Day but also as vehicle for processing through issues with the father which may be obstacles along the pathway to wholeness. Clearly, this blend will not simply reflect a Norman Rockwell image of Dad as the grounding and protective influence, although certainly that paternal element will be encoded into the blend’s inner meaning.
In addition to the theme of protective nurturing, other themes in the blend’s design may include factors such as the Tree of Life vessel of Chokma (Paternal Archetype), the scriptural patriarchs (including Abraham, Isaac and Jacob), Moses, Jesus (Christian archetype of masculine gorunding and nurturing) as well as elements such as defense, paternal wisdom and guidance, relationship not only to wife and children but to the world in general. Which themes are used and how they are reflected in the blend will be determined collectively as the project unfolds.
The students will particpate fully in this project and will learn in a step-by-step manner how a soul-level essential oil blend is designed, formulated, blended and used. I will reveal the actual blend during the last class (May 12th), which will allow the students plenty of time to prepare the blend for Father’s Day (June 20th) if they so desire.
I will also be preparing a limited quanity of the blend for purchase by student’s who would like to experience it, but do not have the time nor the materials to personally blend it. The blend will be offered to registered students at a specially discounted price.
This blend will not only serve as a unique Father’s Day gift (for father’s husband’s, partners and children) but also as a catalyst for the blender for targeted, deep soul-level exploration through his or her own use of the blend. The blend can be prepared every year to mark Father’s Day or can be used throughout the year in accordance with the dynamics of one’s personal journey toward the root of the soul – one’s authentic self.
The formulating process and resultant formula for the Paternal Essence blend will not be shared with Dr. Berkowsky’s entire reading list but only with registered students in the upcoming Essential Oils and Soul 3-Class Teleseminar Series.
Being able to participate in developing and experiencing the sacredness of the Paternal Essence blend is alone worth far more than the modest tuition for teleseminar series.
Do I receive any study materials?
Yes. A day or two before the class, you will receive by e-mail the specific oil chapter (e.g., Spearmint Oil) from Dr. Berkowsky’s Synthesis Materia Medica/Spiritualis of Essential Oils (15 to 30 pages of material) and various other study aids. You print these out.
Dr. Berkowsky lectures from the chapter, so have these in front of you during the class and make notes in margins, etc. as desired. On a technology level, all you need to participate in this course is a telephone and an e-mail address.
What if I miss a class?
No problem. Within 10 days after each class, every student will receives a download link for the complete recording of that class. Therefore, if you miss a class or just want to review the material (which all the students generally want to do because there is a lot of information provided) you will have the opportunity to do so. Many students find they cannot make some of the classes and depend upon the recordings entirely. The recordings contain Dr. Berkowsky’s entire presentation.
Do I need any prior training to keep up with the class material?
Definitely not. There are no requirements whatsoever except the desire to learn, develop life-changing skills and to evolve spiritually. Dr. Berkowsky’s students range from non-professionals using what they learn just with themselves and their families to many different types of professional practitioners.
How long will it take before I can make practical use of the course material?
There are of course different levels of proficiency in using Spiritual PhytoEssencing (deep soul-level healing work with essential oils) depending upon level of experience. However, you will gain immediately valuable insight from the very first class.
Many students have reported that they were able to use the oil discussed in the previous night’s class to good effect the very next day. Also, students commonly comment on how just experiencing Dr. Berkowsky’s profound understanding of a particular essential oil iniated healing soul-level exploration.
When will the early-bird discounted tuition offer end?
The early-bird discounted tuition offer ends on Friday, January 29th. However, due to the difficult economic times we are experiencing Dr. Berkowsky has lowered the regular tuition for his teleseminar classes by about 35%.
Given the quality, extensiveness and uniqueness of the material Dr. Berkowsky provides, the tuition rate is remarkably reasonable. Dr. Berkowsky’s goal is to keep the tuition low enough this year to allow all those who want to attend the opportunity to do so.
Can I register on a class-by-class basis?
Yes. See the per class pricing on the registration page. If, after attending the first class, you want to register for the other two classes, we will pro-rate the balance of your tuition.
Can I receive CEUs for this series of classes?
Yes. Many of my students who are professionals (such as aromatherapists, naturopaths, medical doctors, nurses, massage therapists, etc.) have received CEUs for attending my courses. We provide a letter of attendance to those students who request it. The professional quality of this course and the depth of its presentation are undeniable and so many continuing education offices have demonstrated a willingness to award CEUs for attendance.
Can I make installment payment arrangements?
If you already have an account with us, you can make installment payment arrangements. Even though the full tuition is very affordable for most people, we realize that it be easier on some budgets to pay by installment.
We are a small business and so prefer full payment upfront to keep our bookkeeping as simple as possible. However, we would like to enable anyone who is eager to study with me the opportunity to do so. There is a small additional fee for installment payments because of the extra credit card processing fees and bookkeeper costs we incur.

Dr. Berkowsky’s Comment About This Teleseminar Series
Bette Davis In All About Eve (1950) utters the famous line, “Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy night!” By all accounts we can say the same thing for 2009. While times like these are undeniably rough, they encourage us to move inward and develop more dynamic relation with the root of one’s soul or, what can be referred to as, the “living soul.”
In Freeing The Soul From Fear, Dr. Robert Sardello writes: “The change in our feeling of time – that time is now speeding up – results from an imbalance between duration and tempo. Duration decreases, while tempo increases. The soul requires duration of time-rich, thick, deep, velvety time – and it thrives on rhythm. Soul can’t be hurried or harried. It has to take in events slowly, ruminating over them, turning them into its own experience. For the soul to be deprived of duration and tempo takes away its capacity for expression in the world.”
If there is one good thing that one can experience during hard times it is that the pace of time slows down when economic growth stalls and just about everybody you know is poorer. This decrease in tempo and expansion of duration affords the soul a respite from the breakneck pace that suppresses connection with one’s higher self and encourages the dominance of the survival personality.
Thus, while on one hand, this has been a trying time, this period of deceleration provides us with an ideal opportunity to make greater progress toward overcoming the estrangement from the root of one’s soul that prevents each of us from reconnecting with his or her true self and living life with one’s whole being.
This estrangement is inertial. After all it began to be established in early childhood. So the deceleration of the pace of time alone may not be enough to overcome the force of its undertow. Soul-level work with essential oils can be used to provide the necessary impetus to move past this stuckness and the deep-seated disharmony that grows from the soil of the feeling of being incomplete.
